While quickies are great and all, sometimes you want something that lasts a little longer. But what’s longer? For starters, it’s important to get a healthy sense of expectation of the length of an average sex session. Research has shown that the average time it takes for men to ejaculate is two minutes, while it takes women 20 minutes to reach the end goal.

Further research shows that the average time spent getting frisky in the sheets is a mere 5 minutes… I’m no mathematician, but even I can see one party is probably missing out on the big O.

1. Drink Loads Of Water

“Yes Mum” I can hear you say, but water is going to get you through this. Staying hydrated is so important to lasting longer. You don’t want to burn out within 30 minutes because you dry up.

2. Get Creative

Sticking to just a few positions in bed is going to get boring. Make the most of the space around your home and really mix up the positions. You don’t need to plan a fuckit list of positions and places, but have a look online for some inspiration, you might just find your new holy grail manoeuvre.

3. Whip The Toys Out

You’re in this for the long haul, so some added toy fun is going to break your time up. Make sure you have a good selection of toys to space out throughout the weekend to use on your playmate, as well as yourself. To get back into the swing of things, if you’re feeling a bit drained of energy, or after a break, that is the perfect time to whip them out.

4. X-Rated Viewing
