Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia aka Omah Lay has emerged the winner of the ‘Next Rated’ Award category at the 2021 Headies Awards ceremony.
The ‘Next Rated’ category is a voting category for the most promising act in the year under review. Artistes nominated alongside Omah Lay include Tems, Oxlade and Bella Shmurda.
Oxlade and Bella Shmurda walked with Omah Lay to collect the award which he dedicated to the victims of the Lekki shootings on the 20th of October 2020 during the nationwide #EndSARS protest.
Nominated alongside the ”Godly” crooner were fast-rising artistes that had a good run in 2020. They include; Bella Shmurda, Oxlade and Tems.
